Lierda LTE Cat.1 bis OpenCPU Product Overview
Note
This document introduces Lierda LTE Cat.1 bis OpenCPU core capabilities, OpenSDK base-package selection, module capability comparison, knowledge-base directory, and resource entries.
1. OpenCPU Capabilities
Cat.1 bis OpenCPU is an open application-development solution for cellular IoT terminals. Developers can run their business applications inside the communication module, reducing external MCU dependency and making terminal designs lighter, more compact, and easier to iterate.
Lierda OpenCPU uses a separated base-package architecture: Lierda maintains the stable base package, while customers develop, compile, and upgrade their upper-layer App code independently. Developers can focus on business logic, peripheral adaptation, and product functions without repeatedly handling the full system project.
Core capabilities include:
Separated Base Package: Stable maintenance of the lower-level system, cellular stack, and standard interfaces reduces base adaptation risks.
Independent App Partition: User Apps can be managed and upgraded independently, making post-mass-production iteration and maintenance easier.
Fast Compilation: The workflow mainly compiles the upper-layer App project, reducing wait time during frequent debugging and verification.
Standard Interfaces: Common system, cellular, and peripheral capabilities are exposed through standardized APIs for easier project reuse.
Complete Toolchain: Covers code compilation, firmware download, log capture, runtime analysis, and issue localization.
Full Firmware Upgrade: Supports project-oriented FOTA file generation to reduce differential-package and multi-version maintenance costs.
Open Resources: SDKs, API documents, sample code, and quick-start materials are available for public access.
Production Friendly: Clear mapping between base packages, modules, and project parameters reduces repeated confirmation during bring-up.
